Disclosure statement under Turkish Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) · Effective: June 27, 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Yağmur Bekçisi (Rain Watchman) mobile app and yagmurbekcisi.com, why and how we process it, and your rights. By using the app you acknowledge that you have read this statement.
1. Data Controller

We do not collect advertising identifiers, we never sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
3. Purposes and Legal Basis
- Providing location-specific short-term rain alerts and notifications — explicit consent and performance of contract
- Subscription management and billing — performance of contract, legal obligation
- Answering contact requests and sending launch announcements — explicit consent
- Improving the service, debugging, preventing abuse — legitimate interest
4. Transfers and Service Providers
We rely on the following processors to provide the service; your data may be processed abroad (based on your explicit consent under KVKK Art. 9):
- Google LLC — Google Play billing and notification infrastructure (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Apple Inc. — App Store billing and iOS notification infrastructure (APNs)
- Cloudflare, Inc. — network, security and access infrastructure
- Zoho Corporation — email communication
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting
- Resend, Inc. — delivery of website form submissions by email
- Our server hosting provider — application server
5. Retention
Location movement history is kept for a limited period (at most 30 days), then pruned or anonymized. When you request deletion of your account or data, we delete it except where retention is legally required.
6. Your Rights under KVKK (Art. 11)
You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, request information, correction or deletion, object to processing, and claim compensation for damages. Write to info@yagmurbekcisi.com; we respond within 30 days at the latest.
7. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from this age group.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS); our administration panels are protected by authentication. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and administrative measures.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are published on this page with an updated effective date.
