It started with the idea of a watchman for the sky.
Rain Watchman was built to answer one question with minute precision: “when exactly will it rain right here?”
Our Story
This story began with a childhood fascination. Ever since I was little, I loved watching the sky: when will the rain start, when will the snow stick? I'd sit by the window tracking the color of the clouds and the direction of the wind, trying to notice the change in the weather before anyone else. To some it was an odd hobby; to me, the sky was a puzzle that never ran out.
As technology advanced, curiosity turned serious. Once radar data became accessible, I started spending hours at the screen tracking rain cells: which one is growing, which way is it moving, how many minutes until it reaches our street? These predictions — made by eye and by hand — turned out far more accurate than I expected. Knowing the minute the rain would start felt like a small kind of magic — and it thrilled me.
Then one question wouldn't leave my mind: if I could do this by spending hours at a screen, today's technology could do it 24/7, for everyone, automatically. The maturing of AI — intelligent systems that can interpret data like a human expert — put the final piece in place. That day I decided to build it: I would put my childhood fascination in everyone's pocket.
We studied the world's latest short-term precipitation forecasting (nowcasting) research, built a system that fuses multi-source live data with AI, and dedicated it to a single job: watching your spot and warning you before the rain arrives.
Today, Rain Watchman is the pioneer of AI-powered, location-specific instant rain alerts in Türkiye — and by learning from every rain, it gets a little more accurate every day. What I used to do by the window as a child, the Watchman now does for you: it watches the sky so you don't get wet.

🎯 Our Mission
No one should be caught off guard by the rain. Laundry, concrete or harvest — every plan the rain could ruin should be saved by a single notification, 20 minutes ahead.
What we believe
Science, not gut feeling
Behind every alert is academic method and numerical computation. We don't do arbitrary guesses.
Honest communication
No forecast is 100% — and we don't claim to be. We show our confidence level openly.
Respect for privacy
Location data is processed only to produce alerts. We don't sell data, we don't collect ad identifiers.
Constant improvement
Every rain is a test. We measure the results, learn from mistakes, and get more accurate every day.
