Ordinary apps tell you the weather where you are. Rain Watchman goes one step further: it gathers standard meteorological forecasts for the points along your route and shows each one with the forecast that matches your arrival time.
Forecast by arrival time
Your route is split into points; for each one, the meteorological forecast matching your estimated arrival time is fetched and combined into a single trip summary — not the current weather. You see the mountain pass you'll cross in 3 hours with the forecast for 3 hours from now.
Rainy stretches known in advance
See the stretches where rain is expected before you set off: in which area, at what time, and how intense it's expected to be.
Plan your breaks smartly
Take a break before entering a rainy stretch, or — since forecasts are hourly — delay departure by an hour or two. A small piece of information, a much more comfortable trip.
Works everywhere
Route weather works anywhere in the world — on a short city drive or a long intercity trip.
A note on transparency
Route weather does not use the Watchman's own short-term prediction engine. The Watchman's expertise is catching the rain that will reach your exact spot within the next ~45 minutes; journey forecasts spanning hours ahead fall outside that scope. Route weather is therefore built by compiling trusted, publicly available meteorological forecasts for the points along your route, matched to your arrival times — no separate custom computation is made for you.
